Israel Spine Center - an Overview
Israel Spine Center is the first group practice in Israel, specializing in all aspects of spinal care - conservative and surgical treatment for all ages and the whole spectrum of spinal disorders
|
The Israel Spine Center (ISC)
|
was established on May 2000 by four spine surgery specialists who previously comprised the spine team of the Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem. The ISC operates spine clinics at Assuta Hospital in Tel-Aviv, as well as consultation spine clinics for the different HMO’s ("kupot-cholim") in Tel-Aviv, Jeruslaem and other locations.
The ISC has insurance coverage arrangements with all the HMO's (" Kupot-Cholim") and the Insurance companies, which allow the insured patients to be treated in Assuta hospital – the largest private hospital in Israel.
|
|
|
The ISC surgeons work in cooperation with other specialists from related disciplines – Chiropractice, Osteopathy, Pain specialists, neuroradiology, rehabilitation and physical therapy specialists.
The ISC surgeons stay in touch with the patients continuously with the assistance of our clinical coordinator and the office personnel.
The ISC is operated in adherence with the highest professional standards. We deliver a wide and comprehensive spectrum of treatment modalities for spinal problems at the highest, most up-dated professional level, with the utmost efficiency. All this is done with warm personal attitude.

Unique Apects of the Israel Spine Center
1. Professionalism
the team of the ISC surgeons keeps up-to-date skills in the treatment of all the wide range of spinal disorders, and the most advanced surgical techniques.
The team has wide expertise in degenerative spine surgery (disc herniations, spinal stenosis, osteoporosis etc.), spinal deformities (scoliosis, kyphosis, spondylolysthesis), spinal infections, tumors and trauma, bony spinal disorders and spinal cord problems.
Spine operations are routinely performed on the cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral spine, using different surgical approaches (anterior (front), posterior (back), minimally invasive, using high-end, up-to-date equipment and implants.
|
|
2. interdisciplinary combined treatment
the ISC offers a modern team approach. Different specialists are involved in the treatment or consultation whenever necessary – chiropractor, pain specialist, neuro-radiologist and physical therapy and rehabilitation specialists. Treatment plans are personally coordinated by a clinical coordinator.
|
|
3. Highest professional and academic standards
Clinical work is based on team work and quality control, as practiced in the best academic facilities. To name just a few:
i. weekly rediology conference – conducted with a leading neroradiology specialist. Patient’s imaging studies are viewed and analyzed by the team, and appropriate imaging and clinical steps are planned by the team. The service is free of charge.
ii. Consultation clinic – complicated cases and all patients
who are candidate for surgery are seen and examined by the whole team. A team discussion is conducted regarding appropriate treatment options, and if surgery is considered – surgical planning is done. The consultation allows for patients and families to clarify any unclear issues prior to their decisions. The consultation clinic is operated free of charge.
iii. Spine - Specialists surgical team – all operations are
performed only by the ISC surgeons team – all are qualified spine specialists (chief surgeon and assistant). No residents or other unqualified surgeons take active part in the procedures.
iv. Comprehensive “around-the-clock” coverage – the team work allows patients high accessibility to the medical staff in urgent cases, at all times.
Even when your personal doctor is away (conference abroad, vacation, military reserve service) – there is always someone available for you to assist with your problem.
v. Academic updating and on-going professional
education – the team doctors are continuously involved in academic activities, including research on spine problems, participation in national and international conferences, presenting research results in conferences, lectures, instruction, and periodical up-date meetings (“journal club”).
